Police seize more petrol in St James, one man arrested

ST JAMES, Jamaica —  Another man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of  2000 litres of petrol at Guinep Crescent, Freeport in St James.

According to reports, an operation was being carried out in the area around 4:30 pm today when the 27 containers with petrol along with a Hiace minivan was seized.

The suspect, whose identity the police did not reveal was subsequently arrested.

Earlier this month lawmen carried out an operation in the same area where 20,000 litres of petrol was seized. Seven men were subsequently arrested in that seizure but only two have been charged.
