ALIVE! Logistics hub plan
While it may seem to many that the thrust championed by the previous Administration had gone the way of a nine-day wonder, former Industry and Commerce Minister Anthony Hylton shouts amid the din that the idea is not dead. He posits that the infrastructure to support the country’s ascendancy to the status of global logistics hub has been slowly taking shape — started in his People’s National Party Government and continued by the ruling Jamaica Labour Party. He references the 2014 master plan and posits that, with careful planning and deliberate execution, Jamaica may still become the hub it was envisaged to be. The logistics hub is back on The Agenda.
