St Andrew NW by-election set for March 5

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Prime Minister Andrew Holness a short while ago announced that the parliamentary by-election for the St Andrew North Western constituency will take place March 5.

Holness made the announcement at an Area Council One meeting in Pembroke Hall, St Andrew. 

Keisha Hayle, 42, has been put forward to represent the People’s National Party while Ambassador Nigel Clarke will run on the Jamaica Labour Party’s ticket in the seat left vacant by the recent retirement from elective politics of veteran parliamentarian Derrick Smith.

Nomination day is set for February 12.
