Jamaica XI fight back against England Lions
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Wicketkeeper/batsman Aldaine Thomas is unbeaten on 92 as the Jamaica Select XI fought back against England Lions on the second day of the three-day warm-up cricket match at Sabina Park.
At the tea interval on Tuesday, the Jamaica team is 206-8 after resuming from their overnight score of 36-4. The Lions had made 263-8 declared on the opening day thanks to Keaton Jennings’ unbeaten 129.

Thomas is supported by Gordon Bryan, who is on 27 not out. The two have shared in an unbroken stand of 74 runs for the ninth wicket. The Lions’ pacer Toby Roland-Jones has taken 3-37 so far. Main support has come from fellow seamers James Porter and Goerge Garton who have claimed two wickets each.
The Lions are using this game to prepare for three unofficial Test matches against West Indies A. The first game is scheduled to start Sunday at Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium.
