CISOCA searching for ‘robot’ taxi driver accused of abduction, rape
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Centre for the Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an illegal taxi driver wanted for abduction and rape in St James.
The police have issued the above composite of the ‘robot’ taxi operator, who is said to be of brown complexion, slim build, and is about five feet six inches tall. He also reportedly sports a corn-row hairstyle and has tattoos on his hands and on the side of one of his feet.
The wanted man is said to frequent the Coral Gardens, Ironshore and Providence routes. He is said to be accompanied by either a male or a female and is usually armed with a firearm.
The police, meanwhile, urged the public to be vigilant when taking taxis and advised that individuals travel in groups and take only registered taxis.
