Weather Update: Showers expected in north eastern parishes today
KINGSTON, Jamaica — In the local forecast this morning isolated showers are expected across sections of north eastern parishes, while elsewhere should be mainly sunny, the Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica has reported.
This afternoon, isolated showers are expected across sections of central and western parishes and windy conditions are expected along coastal areas.
Tonight should be mainly fair.
The Met Service said that there is currently a high pressure ridge across Jamaica in addition to a low-level jet across the central Caribbean.
The high pressure ridge is expected to remain across the island for the next three days, while the low-level jet is also expected to persist across the region.
