Windies A take first-innings lead vs Lions
FLORENCE HALL, Trelawny — West Indies A took a 27-run first-innings lead against England Lions on Tuesday’s third day of the first “Test” at Trelawny Multi-purpose Stadium. But by the tea break the tourists were 60-1 in their second innings with opener Haseeb Hameed is unbeaten on 32, and left-hander Nick Gubbins on 20.
Scores: Lions 252 (107.5 ovs) & 60-1 (25 ovs); Windies A 279 (96 ovs)
West Indies A resumed this morning on 232-8 with Shane Dowrich on 90 not out and Jomel Warrican on 54.
Dowrich went on to make 119, while Warrican was left unbeaten on 71.
Left-arm spinner Jack Leach took 3-84 for the Englishmen.
