3-y-o shot dead while walking with stepdad in St Mary
ST MARY, Jamaica — A three year-old girl was killed last night while walking with her stepdad in her community of Cane Lane in Annotto Bay, St Mary, the police have reported.
She has been identified as Kalecia Matthews.
Police reports are that the child was walking with her stepfather about 9:40 pm when they were approached by a lone gunman firing shots in their direction.
After the shooting subsided Kalecia was found with a gunshot wound to the upper body. She was taken to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force’s Corporate Communications Unit was unable to provide any details on the condition of the toddler’s stepfather.
