Newborn found in Old Harbour KFC to be put up for adoption
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The newborn found in a Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurant in Old Harbour, St Catherine over the weekend is to be put up for adoption once the requisite processes have been completed, the police have reported.
On Tuesday, OBSERVER ONLINE reported that the Old Harbour police were seeking the public’s assistance in re-uniting the infant with her family.

Police reported today that the baby girl is currently in hospital and her parents are yet to be located.
It was further disclosed that the matter will go before the court and the Child Development Agency was contacted.
The baby is of brown complexion and appeared to be about three days old at the time.
Reports are that about 6:45 pm on Saturday, residents saw the infant wrapped in a multi-coloured blanket in the bathroom of the restaurant and summoned the police. On the arrival of the lawmen the child was taken to the hospital.
The lawmen are now appealing to anyone with relevant information to contact the Old Harbour police at 983-2255, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
