Turin derby – Juventus vs Torino the big match in Europe

JustBet offers a Juventus win at $1.65 odds

This Sunday, February 18, there will be some cracking matchups in Italy and Spain, and JustBet will be highlighting two of the very best for you. Firstly, let’s jet over to Italy where there’s the small matter of the Turin derby to be sorted out by the unstoppable Juventus and the bang in-form Torino; after which you will be transported westward over to Spain to witness none other than ‘Bad Boy’ Diego Costa and Atletico Madrid engaging Athletic Bilbao in a thriller.

Juventus must still be cursing their luck after letting a 2-0 lead slip against Tottenham in the Champions League encounter on Tuesday and were held to a disappointing draw, with Gonzalo Higuain scoring a double and missing a penalty just before half-time. Now, the Turin derby is one of the most intense games in the world with both teams hating each other dating back to 18th century. Torino are currently in fine form, having gone unbeaten in six games since Walter Mazzarri took over, while Juventus will be looking to retake top spot on Serie A from, Napoli.

Historically this is Juventus time of the year when they exert their dominance on the league. they humiliated Sassuolo 7-0 last week and then went to Fiorentina and embarrassed them 2-0 with utmost ease. In the last seven head-to-head derbies, Juventus has won six and drawn one. They have the most lethal attack in the entire league, raking up 61 and conceding just 15 goals in 24 games. on the road they have the best offence, hitting the net 29 times in 11 games. interestingly, in the last eight meetings with Torino, Juventus have scored two or more goals in six of those games.

My betting tip? Juventus win

The JustBet Odds on the match are as follows:

• Torino to win $5.20, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $5,200.

• Juventus to win $1.65, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $1,650.

• Odds of a draw, $3.50, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $3,500.

• Odds on the home team (Torino) winning and the game have under 2.5 goals at full-time, $7.75, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $7,750.

• Odds on the away team (Juventus) winning and the game have over 2.5 goals at full-time, $2.55, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $2,550.

• Odds on the game drawing and having over 3.5 goals at full-time, $14, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $14,000!!!

The second game on Sunday at 10:15 am local time sees the second-best team in Spain currently, the Diego Costa-led Atletico Madrid, hosting Athletic Bilbao in what should be a blazing-hot affair at the Wanda Metropolitano, where Madrid have remained unbeaten during this La Liga Campaign.

Atletico Madrid are still unbeaten at home in the league, which is an inopportune moment for Bilbao to visit town having gone winless in their last three matches on the bounce. Madrid have kept four clean sheets in their last five games and, with the lack of goals recently from Bilbao, they could be in for a real “hiding” from the likes of Costa and Griezmann — the latter seems to be hitting top form recently.

Bilbao are fighting for a top six spot to get into Europe next season and will be heartened that Madrid will start the game with two of their best defenders, Diego Godin and Filipe Luis, missing through suspensions. Bilbao have managed four wins in their last six away games; however, their last win at Atletico was in 2011. Since then they have taken just one point when playing away to Atletico. Antoine Griezmann just loves playing against Bilbao as he has scored eight goals in 13 games against them. There have been over 1.5 goals in seven of the last 10 games between both teams.

My prediction: Madrid win

The odds are as follows:

• Atletico Madrid to win $1.40, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $1,400.

• Athletic Bilbao to win $8.75, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $8,750.

• Odds of a draw, $4.00, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $4,000.

• Odds on the home team (Atletico Madrid) winning and the game has over 1.5 goals at full-time, $1.67, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $1,670.

• Odds on the away team (Athletic Bilbao) winning and the game has under 2.5 goals at full-time, $10.50, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $10,500.

• Odds on the game drawing and having over 3.5 goals at full-time, $28, which means that a $1,000 bet would pay $28,000!!!!!

Bets can be placed at any of the over 100 JustBet locations islandwide. BETTORs can visit JustBetJA.com for verification of odds and a full array of betting options.
