Brown’s Town tackle Harbour View at home in Jackie Bell KO
Brown’s Town FC will relish the opportunity to tackle Harbour View tonight at 7:00 when the first round of matches in the quarter-finals of the JN Bank Visa/KSAFA Jackie Bell Knockout kicks off at the Harbour View Mini Stadium.
Coach of the Super League team Karume Huie said it would be an “honour to be able to play against a quality team like Harbour View.
“It will be a challenge. We are up for the challenge. Our objective is to put on a show for the football community and see what happens.
“We respect a team like Harbour View because they have been playing high-level football for several years. Our target is to get to the Premier League, so playing against Harbour View will [help us] see where we as a group are.
“The Jackie Bell competition is the oldest knockout competition in the island and, for me as coach, it will be a joy to beat Harbour View on their home turf to progress to the next stage. It won’t be easy because Harbour View have quality from front to back, so we at Brown’s Town have to prepare mentally and physically.
“I tell my team just let go and have fun because you may not get a next chance like this, so relax and go out there and market your abilities.”
While Brown’s Town have held their own in the Magnum Super League, they have struggled to score goals, which they have to fix tonight.
Harbour View, on the other hand, have scored 10 goals in their last six matches. Humble Lion (12 goals) are the only Premier League team that have scored more goals from their last six games.
Rafick Thomas and Daniel Green are the players to watch from Harbour View should they get the nod to play.
