Jamaica names 36-member team for Carifta Swimming Champs
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Hosts Jamaica will field a strong 36-member squad in the pool when the 33rd staging of the Carifta Swimming Championships gets under way at the National Aquatic Centre in Kingston later this month.
The team named by the Aquatic Sports of Jamaica (ASAJ) today includes 15 debutants, most of whom, as expected, are in the 11-12 age group.
A part from Isabella Sierra, all other 11-12 swimmers will be making their debut on the national swim team, while Tiara Campbell, Amore Hunter, Kito Campbell, Rin Gyles and Zachary Johnson are the debutants in the 13-14 category.
Water Polo will kickstart the championships on Friday through to Sunday, with Swimming scheduled for two weeks later on March 31 to April 3.
