Water supply disruptions in St Andrew, St Catherine
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising of water supply disruptions in St Andrew and St Catherine which are due to operational issues.
In St Andrew, high turbidity levels have forced the shutdown of the Seaview Filter Plant while the water supply in St Catherine is being affected by operational issues (broken main and electrical breakdown) that are presently being corrected.
The company estimates that regular water supply should be restored in later this afternoon, Saturday, March 17.
Areas affected include:
St Andrew: Stony Hill, Golden Spring, Jacks Hill, Stilwell Road, Lawrence Tavern, Tavistock, Mannings Hill, Bridgemount, Sunset Avenue, Boone Hall and Mt Ogle
St Catherine: Sections of Willodene, Homestead, Hopedale, Old Harbour Road and environs, St Jago Heights, Thompson Pen, Twickenham Heights, section of Tryall Heights, sections of Spanish Town, Greendale, sections of Mount View Estate.
The NWC is assuring its customers that every effort is being made to restore their regular supply within the shortest possible time.
