JCF, US authorities probing Montague death threats
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF), says it is leading a multi-jurisdictional investigation into allegations of threats being made on the life of the Former National Security Minister Robert Montague.
The JCF, in a release today, said it is being assisted by United States law enforcement counterparts with the investigation.
The JCF takes all incidents of threat seriously and investigate them.
“ The investigation into this particular report, includes authenticating and identifying the source of the threat, which reportedly emanated from overseas. The matter is being dealt with expeditiously and all aspects of it will be fully ventilated,” said the JCF.
The force also added that all the requisite actions have been taken to adequately cover the newly appointed tranport and mining minister’s safety and security.
