Commonwealth Games: Silver, bronze for Jamaica in women’s 100m
GOLD COAST, Australia — Jamaica’s Christania Williams and Gayon Evans took silver and bronze respectively in the women’s 100 metre final at the Commonwealth Games today.
Trinidad and Tobago’s Michelle-Lee Ahye of Trinidad and Tobago took the gold in 11.14 seconds.
Williams clocked 11.21s, while her team mate Evans finished in a time if 11.22s.
This is Jamaica’s second silver and first bronze at this year’s staging of the Games.
