Spalding Cup: STETHS 112-6 vs Innswood at lunch

SANTA CRUZ, St Elizabeth — St Elizabeth Technical High School  (STETHS) were 112-6 against Innswood High at lunch on Tuesday’s opening day of the ISSA/GraceKennedy Financial Group Spalding Cup cricket play-off match at STETHS playing field.

Number three batsman Andre McCarthy has top-scored so far with 35.

Odane Thompson and Rajee Simpson are the not out batsmen, on eight and three, respectively.

Innswood captain and left-arm finger spinner Jeavor Royal has captured 3-29.

Score: STETHS 112-6

Earlier, the hosts won the toss and opted to bat first. They chipped along to 51-1 before a flurry of wickets saw them slip to 96-6.

And it could have been worse for them had Innswood not floored numerous chances during the first session.
