Elaine Thompson 3rd, Jura Levy 8th in 100m at Doha Diamond League
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Elaine Thompson fell short in her attempt to get back to winning ways as she finished third in 10. 93 seconds, in the first 100-metre race of the 2018 IAAF Diamond League in Doha, Qatar a short while ago.
Thompson was bettered by Ivory Coast’s Marie-Josee Ta Lou, who won the race in a world leading and personal best time of 10.85s. In second was Blessing Okagbare of Nigeria in 10.90s.
Meanwhile, Dutch sprint queen Dafne Schippers was sixth in a season’s best of 11.03s and Jamaica’s Jura Levy finished eighth in 11.29s.
