WASHINGTON, United States (AFP) — US First Lady Melania Trump was in hospital Monday after undergoing surgery on what aides called a “benign” kidney condition.
The Slovenia-born first lady underwent an embolisation procedure, said White House Communications Director Stephanie Grisham, adding that “the procedure was successful and there were no complications.”
Trump, 48, is expected to stay in hospital “for the duration of the week.”
