Four charged for selling fake Campari, DVDs
ST ANN, Jamaica — Four men were yesterday charged with breaches of the Trademark and Copyright Acts by the Counter Terrorism and Organized Crime Investigation Branch (C-TOC) after they were found selling counterfeit goods in the parishes of St Ann and Kingston.
According to C-TOC, a team of investigators carried out special operations in St Ann where 19 cases of fake Campari valued at approximately $380,000 were seen being sold to wholesalers in the parish.
Two men – 44-year-old Walton Wray of Lendene Drive, and 32-year-old Duane Fuller of Elm Crescent both from Kingston – were subsequently arrested and charged.
They are scheduled to appear before the St Ann Parish Court on July 5.
Another two men were arrested and charged after C-TOC conducted an operation in Kingston, resulting in the seizure of counterfeit DVD’s with an estimated value of $1 million
They are 39-year-old Anash Davis, vendor of Luke Lane in Kingston and 52-year-old Linford Path, vendor of a Kingston 4 address.
Davis and Path are scheduled to appear before the St Andrew Parish Court on Thursday, June 14.
