Congrats to Prince Harry and Meghan

Dear Editor,

Even though I’m not in favour of Jamaica’s head of State being the Queen, I have to take time out to congratulate newly-weds Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the duke and duchess of Sussex.

I’ve seen pictures of Jamaicans in Britain with our flag in the streets celebrating the marriage of these two wonderful human beings.

Prince Harry is a friend of Jamaica’s and Markle has been here on more than one occasion. Last year they both attended a friend’s wedding here. Many Jamaicans like her too; her last creative work, the drama series Suits, is a hit here.

I wish them all the best and, indeed, theirs has been the wedding of the year!
