Bring Back the Love football heads to St Ann today
The Bring Back The Love Labour Day Masters and Celebrities football charity match has moved to St Ann today where fans will be treated to a day full of entertainment at Drax Hall starting at 5:00 pm.
Three teams will be in action — Irie Fm Invitational, Referees, and Masters and Entertainers — battling for supremacy. Admission fees are $100 for children and $300 for adults.
Proceeds from the event will again go to a basic school, while Luke “Lukie” Murray, Deron “Rango” Jackson and Leroy “Gordon Banks” Miller will be the honourees.
Organiser of the event, Clive “Busy” Campbell, told the Jamaica Observer why the Bring Back the Love event moves to St Ann.
“We need to spread the love all over the country and not just Kingston,” he explained.
Campbell has always said he does not have the solution to fighting crime, but that it’s his responsibility to try and save at least one soul.
This is the second of three Bring Back the Love events. The first was in Waterhouse and the destination for the third has not being decided, but the date will be on Emancipation Day, August 1.
Today at Drax Hall, a stellar cast will be on show once again with the likes of Wayne Marshall, Tony Curtis, Paul “Tegat” Davis, Hector Wright and Norman Foster representing the Masters and Entertainment team.
The Irie FM team will comprise Evan Hewitt, Roger Hasfal, Robert Williams, Hugh “Bingy” Blair, and Michael Tulloch. Kevin Morrison and Karl Tyrell are two of those expected on the referees team.
