Sprint queen Fraser-Pryce added to Racers Grand Prix
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s sprint queen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has been added to the 100 metre at the JN Racers Grand Prix set for Saturday, June 9
at the National Stadium.
Fraser-Pryce, who won gold in the 100m at the 2008 Beijing and London 2012 Olympic Games, will be running her third race since giving birth last August.
Having a personal best of 10.70 seconds, the athlete also known as the Pocket Rocket will line up against Americans Tori Bowie — the 2017 World champion, Candice Hill, Jenna Prandini and Kelly-Ann Baptiste of Trinidad and Tobago.
Fellow Jamaicans Christania Williams, Gayon Evans and 16-year-old prodigy Briana Williams complete what will be a crack 100m lineup.
The 31-year-old Fraser-Pryce, who opened her season at the JAAA All Comers Meet on a winning note a few weeks ago with 11.53s clocking, improved over the weekend at the Cayman Invitational with a 11.33s for second.
