Cuba foreign official to visit Jamaica
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has informed that Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs in Cuba, Rogelio Seirra Diaz will be in Jamaica for a three-day working visit.
The ministry, in an advisory today, informed that the visit, which starts today and ends on Saturday, is part of a tour to different Caribbean countries.
The media has been invited to attend a meeting at the Embassy of Cuba in Kingston on Friday.
“This visit will be to hold exchanges with Jamaica´s Government senior officials to assess the situation of the bilateral relations and the potential to further strengthen them and to also identify areas to increase the cooperation,” stated the ministry.
The issues to be addressed include:
• Historic relations between Cuba and the Caribbean
• CARICOM-Cuba political, commercial and cooperation relations
• CELAC
• ALBA-TCP
• Association of Caribbean States
• Petrocaribe
• Jamaica-Cuba relations
