Kevin Downswell, Rondell Positive, Ity, Blacka, and Dunamis will form the entertainment package at a free concert for inner city young men at the National Arena in St Andrew, on Sunday, Father’s Day.

The event — dubbed A Father, Change a Life — will be held from 11:00 am to 5:30 pm and will cater to a least 3,000 youth between 15 and 25.

“We are looking forward to this initiative making a positive impact on the lives of these young men, who presently see very little hope for their future. This is meant to offer them job and personal development opportunities as we work in partnership with the various agencies and organisations. It is a timely intervention as Jamaica faces a grim future, with scores of our young men continuing to operate in a society without proper guidance, direction and support. We pray that this event will change the lives of the participants, their families and communities for a brighter future,“ said Daren Lawrence, a member of the planning committee. “We are amazed at the unbelievable level of support we have received from corporate Jamaica and government agencies for this project.”

The young men will be picked up by JUTC buses at designated locations in Kingston and St Catherine and transported free of cost to and from the National Arena.

During the day, the young men will be able to interact with representatives of such agencies and organisations as: JDF Recruitment Unit, the Ministry of National Security Expungement Unit, the Registrar General’s Department, Caribbean Maritime University, Police Youth Club, HEART Trust/NTA and The Restorative Justice.
