1. No increase in toll rates for Highway 2000
The TransJamaican Highway Jamaica (TJH) has announced that there will be no increase in toll rates for users of the East-West leg of Highway 2000 this year.
2. Three men charged in $48-m drug bust

Commissioner of Police Major General Antony Anderson says the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) will soon implement E-diaries to replace the “big black book”, formally known as the station diary, which is used to collect information at police stations divisions.
5. PNP calls for strengthening of work permit guidelines
Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) Shadow Minister of Labour and Social Security, Horace Dalley, has made a call for work permit guidelines to be strengthened to “prevent the wanton levels of abuse currently taking place in that department at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security”.
6. Two Old Harbour men found with $35m, charged
The police have formally charged two men who were arrested last Thursday during operations in Old Harbour, St Catherine where over $35 million and several high-end motor vehicles were seized.
7. Antigua football officials freed of drug charges
The two Antiguan football officials who were arrested on ganja-related charges were today freed in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court.

9. Paulwell wants NESOL to appear before PAAC
People’s National Party (PNP) Spokesman on Mining & Energy and Leader of Opposition Business in the House of Representatives, Phillip Paulwell says he has written to the chairman of the Public Administration and Appropriations Committee (PAAC) of Parliament, Dr Wykeham McNeill requesting that the management of National Energy Solutions Limited (NESOL) and public officials in the Ministry of Science, Energy and Technology, be immediately summoned before the committee to answer questions.
