Birch adds Lemonade to summer
CHRISTOP HER Birch, principal of Birchill Records, is set to blaze the summer with his Lemonade Riddim.
Released yesterday via Zojak World Wide, the high-energy rhythm has tracks from artistes including Charly Black, Christopher Martin, Mr G, Cecile, Tifa, and a special offering from Dean Fraser and Birch.
The producer shared his inspiration for the set.
“If music can bring light and make people feel good, that is my influence; I just want to see people smile every day,” he explained. “for the fans, just expect fun songs — nothing too controversial, just high-energy party tracks.”
Ahead of its official release, the tracks have been doing the rounds in the streets and on social media, with a positive reception.
The Lemonade Riddim will be available for streaming and purchase on all major digital platforms, including iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, and Deezer.
Previously a member of the Big Yard family, the producer formed Birchill Records in 2004. He has since released hit rhythms such as S alsa, Thriller, Military, Gangsta Rock, My Swing, Wild Tonight and Moskato. The latter took top honours in the ‘Top Dancehall Riddim’ category at Hapilos Digital Music Awards last year.
“In the music business it’s always about what’s new, as people will always gravitate towards something new. Sometimes it’s a risk but you have to experiment,” he told the Jamaica Observer in a previous interview.
Birchill said he is currently working on an album and has already started laying some of the tracks for that project. No release date has yet been given for that set.
