Braintear Spookie hooked on Loyalty
United Kingdom-based singjay Braintear Spookie is in the island promoting his latest single Loyalty Pt 2 .
Released on June 19, the single is produced by K.E.M.W.S (UK-based Record label). It is available on all major digital media outlets.
Braintear Spookie said the single is a continuation of a previous track, Loyalty Pt 1, and everyone should be able to identify with it.
“It is about loyalty and friendship, and the importance of it. It was inspired by friendships that I have forged since childhood and still have that bond today,” the 23-year-old told Jamaica Observer.
The singjay, whose given name is Jason Dale White, said he is putting some promotional muscle behind the track.
“I recorded the single because I know it has potential to be a hit song. I am here to market myself in a different way and to show versatility. I plan to break ground, especially in the French and North American market, in a bid to score international collaborations and worldwide music recognition,” he said.
Born in Tower Hill community of Kingston, Braintear Spookie attended Mount Carmel Academy in the parish. He migrated to South London in 2013. He got his big break the following year with Hurt It Up.
Braintear Spookie has high hopes of making his name in the annals of dancehall history.
“People should expect more work and great material,” he said.
His other tracks include Nah Sell Out, Nuh Fault Wid You, and Lifestyle.
