Messado re-arrested for more fraudulent land deals
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Embattled real estate attorney Jennifer Messado was this morning taken into custody in relation to two other alleged fraudulent land transactions.
The attorney, who was re-arrested when she appeared in the Kingston and St Andrew Parish Court is to be questioned in relation to $8 million that she reportedly collected from a hotelier for the purchase of a property.
In the meantime, her bails were extended in the other matters for her to return to court on September 11 for a case management hearing.
Messado’s co-accused, Beverley Bakarrat, who is charged with conspiracy to defraud also had her bail extended.
