Constant Spring police seize illegal firearm, arrest suspect
ST ANDREW, Jamaica — The Constant Spring police yesterday arrested a man following the seizure of a Browning 9mm pistol with a magazine containing fourteen 9mm cartridges in Castle Heights, Kingston 7, St Andrew.
Reports are that about 10:30 pm, a police team was making enquiries in the Castle Heights area when they approached a group of men and one of them ran.
The police reportedly gave chase and the man was apprehended, following which the lawmen said the firearm with a loaded magazine was taken from his waistband.
He was taken to the Constant Spring Police Station where he was placed into custody; however his identity is being withheld pending further investigations.
