PAJ writes commissioner concerning actions of police against the press
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Press Association of Jamaica (PAJ) says it has written to Police Commissioner Major General Antony Anderson to express concern about an incident earlier this week involving a policeman who tried to stop a TVJ videographer from making a recording in a public place.
PAJ, in a release a short while ago, said that this is far from being the first time an incident of this nature has occurred, the most recent being February when a photographer was pepper-sprayed by a policewoman.
The PAJ said it is now awaiting a response from the police commissioner.
