Windies close in on series win over Bangladesh
KINGSTON, Jamaica — West Indies require a further seven wickets to wrap series honours after trapping Bangladesh in a spot of bother at 52-3 at the tea break on day three action of the second Test here at Sabina Park on Saturday.
West Indies, who resumed from lunch at 108-6, were eventually bowled out for a paltry 129 shortly after the break, setting the visitors an overall target of 335 for victory.
Roston Chase (32) tops scored for West Indies against Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan, who proved a handful, snaring 6-33.
In reply, Bangladesh are also finding life difficult on a pitch that has big cracks, big turn and variable bounce, as they chase a further 283 runs to level the series.
Opening batsman Liton Das (33) is so far their best scorer, with Al Hasan (three) and Mahmudullah, who is yet to score, set to resume after the interval.
Scores: West Indies 354 & 129; Bangladesh 149 & 52-3 (14.5 overs)
West Indies lead the two-match series 1-0 after scoring a 219 run win in Antigua last week.
