NWC’s Fustic Grove facility in St Elizabeth vandalised
ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) has reported that miscreants have vandalised the electrical panel at its Fustic Grove facility in St Elizabeth leaving the community without water.
The NWC in a release this afternoon said that despite public education and pleas for the public to assist in protecting NWC systems, individuals continue to vandalise the company’s properties island-wide.
NWC Vice President, Kevin Kerr expressed disappointment over the continued destruction of NWC properties, noting that each incident is a setback. He also emphasised the replacement costs the company is forced to absorb as a result of these actions.
The NWC said it is urging members of the public with information to contact the nearest police station or the NWC at 876-929-5430.
