Waterhouse hunt third win in JFF women’s league
WATERHOUSE FC will go in search of their third straight win in the 2018 Jamaica Football Federation (JFF)/Lascelles Employees and Partners Co-operative Credit Union Women’s Premier League when they take on Frazsiers Whip FC in their Zone A contest at the Waterhouse Mini Stadium today.
Kenesha Reid, the leading goalscorer in the league so far with four goals, should once again step up to the plate and pave the way for another win for the Xavier Gilbert-coached team.
Reid should get support from several of her teammates including national representatives Rochell Gray, who has scored three goals, and Jessica Johnson with two goals. Also expected to feature for Waterhouse are Latoya Duhaney, Tasheka Small, Imanie Richards, Tamania Clarke and national representative Davia Richards.
Frazsiers Whip, on the other hand, are winless so far after going down 2-3 to St Ann Women’s FC on Tuesday in their only league fixture so far. It will take something special from Frazsiers Whip if they are to deny Waterhouse another win. Frazsiers Whip will be depending heavily on Shadae Small and national player Kelly Nunes against a powerful Waterhouse team.
In another Zone A game, Rangers FC will play host to Cavalier at St Mary Sports Complex. It should be a close game between the teams. They both lost heavily to Waterhouse in their previous matches. Rangers were crushed 11-0, while Cavalier were drubbed 7-0.
Over in Zone ‘B’, Arnett Gardens will be at home to SC Monarchs at their Anthony Spaulding Sports Complex base, hoping for a second consecutive win against their opponents. Real MoBay AFC and Olympic Gardens FC will face each other at the Green Pond High School in the other Zone B fixture.
All matches have a kick-off time of 4:00 pm.
