RACE 1-$180,000 CLAIMING (3YOS&UPWARDS) 1820METRES/9FURLONGS+25YARDS

No Money Friend dominated the early fractions and led Stan Roy down the backstretch, with Chief Prospect cantering in third six lengths from the front with 800 metres to come. Having a distinct advantage at the weights, Chief Prospect mounted a successful challenge and went to the front approaching the distance, and at the wire was just over three lengths in front of No Money Friend.

RACE 2-$120-100,000 CLAIMING (4YOS&UPWARDS) 600-METRES/3-FURLS.STRAIGHT

Machu Picchu got the perfect break and led clear of Speedy Process, beating her by four and a half lengths, with T wo Steps Up, always third, finishing just over one length away. Good to see jockey Gary Richards riding a winner outside of the Wayne DaCosta camp.

RACE 3-MAIDEN SPECIAL WEIGHT (3-YEAR-OLDS) 1000METRES/5-FURLONGS STRAIGHT

Lala Diva led from Miss In Kiss, who challenged successfully entering the last 200 metres, to prevail by two lengths thus confirming her superior exercise preparation.

Race 4-MAIDEN CONDITION (THREE-YEAR-OLDS) 1700METRES/8 1/2FURLONGS

Father Pickins led until surrendering the lead tamely to the hard-ridden Bindaredundat 800 metres out, and outstayed rivals to win by six lengths. So Smooth bettered My Mom Juss by a short head for second place.

RACE 5-$350-300,000 CLAIMING (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

Mr Doitbetta led Rising Bop, with Diferent- generation close up third and travelling ominously well. Rising Bop shot better than two lengths clear in the upper stretch but Diferent generation responded immediately to be almost on terms at the distance. Although drifting right throughout the last 200 metres, Diferent generation stayed on to score by just over two lengths from Rising Bop, who was six ahead of Burlin in third.

RACE 6-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE III (5YOS&UPWARDS/NW3) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

My Angel Brianna, pursued by Top Eagle, Reassurance and Urban Principal racing strongly on the outside to be second at the top of the stretch, led into the straight. Urban Principal had to work hard to wear down the long-time leader My Angel Brianna inside the last 200 metres, but only had a half- length to spare over Hey Champ who finished strongest of the rest.

RACE 7-OPEN ALLOWANCE (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Mr Universe, having recovered well from his near one-year layoff has settled well into his season and was impressive in this his sixth start. After sprinting into early lead this was a Mr Universe on the improve, as he was clear throughout and eased down in Stakes record time of 1:05.0 for the 1,100 metres- with five and a half lengths to spare. Mr Universe is now in the top grade and is expected to do well in future sprint events.

RACE 8-$850-750,000 CLAIMING (3-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1300METRES/6 1/2FURLONGS

Talented Tony K, a confirmed short-runner these days, was in front as usual with Little Big Horn, Smokey Topaz and Balazo all hard-ridden in chase. The front-runners got tired 200 metres out and Winter Is Coming came to the lead with Shining Light after turning wide, rushing over to his favourite far rails to deliver his challenge. Phineas, who at nine years old has retained a lot of his ability, ran on very strongly to blow by them both and sped away to a victory of three and a half lengths.

RACE 9-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE V (4-YEAR-OLDS&UPWARDS) 1400METRES/7FURLONGS

Cloudy Greyt set an unwisely fast pace, pursued by Unexpected, Sunshine Cat and Mirabilis, slowly in stride but recovered well to soon prominent. Giving way to Unexpected, Cloudy Greyt dropped away quickly, with Sunshine Cat and Willowdene getting closer. Unexpected led past the 200 metres mark but had no answer when Flowers Thirty, an early back marker, came storming up the far rails to overtake and score by three lengths.

RACE 10-RESTRICTED ALLOWANCE II (THREE-YEAR-OLDS/NW2) 1100METRES/5 1/2FURLONGS

Formal Gladiator was the first to show on lead, with Ackee Pie and Dee Danger in pursuit immediately. It was a strong pace into the stretch which took its toll on Formal Gladiator at the distance, leaving Dee Danger in the lead. Princess Zella and Ackee Pie also got by the exhausted long-time leader but it was the finishing rush of Locomotive which proved to be the threat to Dee Danger, who lasted by a diminishing three parts of a length.
