JA-born entrepreneur to headline 10X Primer Workshop
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Dr Kingsley Chin is set to headline Disrupt Academy’s 10X Primer Workshop at the EXIM Bank Jamaica in Kingston on August 9.
The 10X Primer is an immersive one-day experience held to foster the creation of innovative solutions through design – targeting complex business, company culture and policy problems.
The 10X principle, modelled on the book “The 10X Rule” by Grant Cardone, encourages setting self-targets that are 10X greater than what you believe you can achieve, as well as taking actions that are 10X greater than what you consider necessary to attain those goals.
“The biggest mistake most people make in life is not setting goals high enough. Taking massive action is the only way to fulfil your true potential,” Cardone shared.
As a workshop designed to empower emerging leaders to expand their opportunity base, 10X Primer promotes connections with likeminded networks, as each begins to “10X” their entrepreneurial strategy.
A Jamaican born Orthopaedic surgeon Chin, an inventor and investor, offers his entrepreneurial expertise during this workshop.
Educated at three of the top universities in the United States – Harvard, Columbia and the University of Pennsylvania, Chin has built an immense health-tech portfolio as CEO of KICVentures, an investment firm he co-founded in 2005.
“To rise above third world status, Jamaica must fuel economic transformation; and that will happen through entrepreneurship in all sectors. Every generation must make an impact, because we’re all in this together,” said Chin.
