No firearms, large ice containers, bottles with frozen water at Sabina Park – Police
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are advising patrons who will be attending the matches in the Jamaican leg of the Caribbean Premier League T20 Competition at Sabina Park, Kingston on Tuesday, August 14 and Wednesday, August 15 that several items will not be permitted in the stadium.
“These are firearms, knives, explosives, illegal drugs, walking stick type umbrellas, large ice containers, and bottles with frozen water. Licensed firearm holders must make arrangements for the safekeeping of their weapons as no provisions will be made at Sabina Park,” stated the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s (JCF) Corporate Communications Unit (CCU) in a release today.
Members of the public are being assured by the police that all the necessary preparations to ensure that the security at the Sabina Park are being carried out.
They are also urging cooperation, patience and understanding where necessary.
