The seven-furlong — Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association of Jamaica Trophy is the feature event on another menu of 10-races at Caymanas Park tomorrow.

This trophy race is for three-year-olds only at the non-winners of two level and it has attracted 14 starters, which makes choosing a winner all the more difficult.

The Supreme Racing Guide looks at the starters in post position order in an attempt to ferret out the likely winner.

MASTER OF HALL: (3.b.g — Emperor Hall – Noassemblyrequired) — This gelding has been beset with injury woes having raced only twice in his lifetime this after making a late start to his career. Won first-time out on May 23, and then finished a close second in his next run but has not raced in 70 days and even as a first time Lasix user, Master Of Hall is going to be pressured to win. Still, he has the potential to perform well and this may well be a coming out party for him.

ISINBAYEVA: (3.ch.f – Soul Warrior – Three Shots) — Claimed on last and now returns to age-group company. Note the cheek pieces are on, but even this change of equipment is not going help Isinbayeva much against these rivals come tomorrow.

BINDAREDUNDAT: (3.ch.g – Film Director – Esto Perpetua) – Lightly raced gelding who broke his maiden on August 1. Tomorrow, even with the leading rider atop, Bindaredundat is simply going to need time against these.

CHEROKEE WAY: (3.gr.f – Nuclear Wayne – Runaway Silver) — Has had three runs thus far at this level, which should hold this filly in good stead now. Cherokee Way was running on strongly in her last race on August 4 when beaten by stablemate Anna Lisa. With the extra ½ a furlong of this race, Cherokee Way is sure to have a say. She is fit and ready to go, and her trainer is currently experiencing a purple patch. Cherokee Way must be included in all bets.

JACKO LINKS: (3.dbk.c – Distorted – Verify) — Won his first race on April 28 and since then has not shown anything to suggest a winning effort is likely.

MISS LINDA WRAY: (3.b.f – Traditional – Ms Martha Brae) — Won by a city block when she passed the post in front for the first time on August 6. Miss Linda Wray is going to need time to get acquainted to rivals at non-winners of two.

GIFT OF LAW: (3.ch.f – Distorted – Gracious Gift) – Was never a factor in the Classic races she ran in and now back to where she belongs, Gift Of Law has a sniff. She has already beaten the likes of Jacko Links and Empress Nicole. Gift Of Law is afforded a hint of a chance in this one.

TRADITION: (3.b.g – Traditional – Queen Adira) — Has not huffed or puffed since winning his only race over the five straight on April 2. That tradition is almost sure to continue in tomorrow’s trophy race.

APOLLO BAY: (3.dkb.c – Performing Magic – Circle The Heart) — Coming to come in this non-winners of two category and may well have a say when the final placings are being decided.

ELAL: (3.b.g – Silent Valor – Kam To The World) — Still learning the trade at this level, this race will be another racing experience for Elal although in his last race he was a victim of some major traffic problems.

LORD ASHTON: (3. ch.g. – Traditional – Holy Princess) – Finally, after six attempts, Lord Ashton found the winning post in front on August 4. Lord Ashton now races for the first time at non-winners of two and is one to watch, although his winning chances are much more limited against more seasoned rivals.

EMPRESS NICOLE: (3.dk/b/br. f – Emperor Hall – Brewedtoperfection) – Even with the tongue tie coming off, it is rare for a maiden to beating winners. Empress Nicole has it all to do.

PINDERS VALLEY: (3.b.f – Nasheet – Souffler) — Won handily on July 21, but was nowhere to be seen when stepping up to this grade on August 1. Pinders Valley will have to improve a lot if she is to win here.

INNOVATOR: (3.gr.c. – Casual Trick – Pretty Hilly) — Raced in nearly all of the big three-year-old age-group races without any success. Much more was expected of Innovator and this race may well be redemption time for him. He finished second on last, seven days ago to Storm by just a short heads thereby signalling that he is fit and ready to deal with these, albeit over a shorter trip which, based on his style of running, should suit him. Drawn on the outside, where he should be free from any interference, Innovator is going to be there when it matters most. If there is an issue with Innovator winning tomorrow, it may well be the fact that he is allowing weight all round.
