Anneisha Davidson is Miss Wag Water Valley 2018
ANNEISHA Davidson, a 15-year-old student at Annotto Bay High School in St Mary, was adjudged Miss Wag Water Valley 2018.
Davidson was crowned ahead of four other contestants on August 6 at Tapioca Hotel in Devon Pen, St Mary. She also copped three sectional prizes, equalling that of first runner-up Moyita Lindo.
Davidson, who was elated, told the Jamaica Observer North & East that this was her second time entering the competition. She failed to place the first time she entered.
“This motivated me and that was why I did the talent Ambition as I tried and did my best,” she said.
The sectional prizes she won were Technical Paper, Most Improved and Most Aware while Lindo won Most Poised, Most Popular and Best Talent.
The Wag Water Valley Development Committee hosts the annual beauty pageant on August 6.
The Independence Day event, which began back in 2012, is popular among young people and one of the primary ways the organisation engages females, who receive coaching in self-improvement, interview techniques and other disciplines.
Here are some highlights from the event.
