MONTEGO BAY, St James — Saturday’s loss by Holland Saints to leaders and semi-final qualifiers Granville Jaguars in their rescheduled second-round game, guaranteed a semi-final place for Catherine Hall All-Stars in the Western Basketball Association Elite League

Catherine Hall All-Stars became the third team to qualify for the semi-finals. They are third on the points table with 20 points from 12 games, one behind second-placed Cricket Club Knight and Granville Jaguars. The latter extended their perfect record to 12 games after their 10-point 76-66 win over Holland at Montego Bay Cricket Club.

Despite a string of losses, Holland are hanging on to fourth place with 18 points, one more than Lucea Flames’ 17 points.

Also on Saturday, Sav-Elite were awarded points after Inner City Avalanche failed to show up for their game.

Granville Jaguars had to come from behind for the second-straight game to get the win as they were down 11-14 at the end of the first quarter.

They, however, quickly took over the lead in the second quarter, turned around the scores, and were up 33-28 at the half-time break. They then upped the advantage to 13 points (55-42) at the end of the third quarter.

Ryan Harrison had his first double-double of the season to lead Granville, scoring 12 points and getting 16 rebounds as Levar Rose led the scoring with 26 points, Nicholas Minott scored 15 points, and Lemar Mitchell scored points.

Two Holland Saints players scored double-doubles — Ricardo Brooks had 24 points and 17 rebounds, and Kenrick Lindo had 11 points and 10 rebounds, while Daniel Henry scored 16 points and Huntley Duhaney grabbed 13 rebounds.
