Marcus Garvey Drive reduced to single lane; expect delays — police

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are advising members of the public to anticipate delays along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston, as a section of the roadway has been reduced to a single lane to allow underground repairs.

Marcus Garvey Drive is currently being used as the alternate route for motorists travelling to Half-Way-Tree and locations further north as the authorities restrict access to the Portia Simpson Miller Square intersection.

Since Sunday, the authorities have been directing motorists to continue along Marcus Garvey Drive to East Avenue and Maxfield Avenue.
