KINGSTON, Jamaica — Supreme Ventures Limited (SVL) is announcing the appointment of Major Hugh Blake as the new CEO for its wholly owned subsidiary, Supreme Ventures Racing & Entertainment Limited (SVREL).

SVL, in a release today, said Major Blake’s appointment takes effect on Monday, September 10.

According to the release, Major Blake is an accomplished professional and a commissioned officer of the Jamaican army.

Prior to joining SVREL, he served in the capacity of General Manager, Jamaica Cane Products Sales. He also served in several capacities at Lascelles demercado Limited over a number of years, including Corporate Risk Manager and General Manager of the Automotive Division.

“We’re pleased to have Major Blake on board with us at SVREL,” said SVREL Chairman, Michael Bernard. “His track record is an impressive one and we look forward to what his experience will bring to the operations at the entity,” he continued.

Major Blake holds a Masters of Business Administration in General Management from Barry University; a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance from UTech, and a Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management from the University College of the Caribbean. He also recently submitted his final dissertation for his Doctor of Business Administration, SVL shared.

The newly appointed CEO currently serves on the Corporate Governance Committee of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica, the release said.
