Runway Fresh
New York Fashion Week (NYFW), the pre-cursor to fashion weeks across other style capitals of the world, introduced freshness to fashion and beauty with Spring 2019 Ready-to-Wear (RTW) offerings.
Prabal Gurung unveiled a kaleidoscopic burst of colour, and Rock-born designer Carly Cushnie, who presented a tribute to an old Jamaica, kept it sleek and bare but sensual.

PRABAL GURUNG
There were sateen, summery prints and equally effortless silks and chiffons, but not enough merino wool and ruching to take our eyes off the unkempt hair and dewy make-up looks that transformed the collection.
CUSHNIE
The inspiration was “late ’70s to early ’80s”. Cushnie presented hair pulled back, dewy, make-up-free skin, and a bright red pout.
