Flash flood watches, warnings discontinued for all parishes
KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica has discontinued the flash flood warning for low-lying and flood-prone areas of eastern parishes (St Mary, Portland, St Thomas, Kingston and St Andrew) effective immediately.
It also discontinued the flash flood watch for all other parishes.
The Met Service said the area of disturbed weather that has been producing unstable conditions since Sunday has moved away from Jamaica. Satellite imagery and rainfall reports indicate a decrease in cloud cover and shower activity across the island since this morning.
The forecast is for conditions to become partly cloudy by tonight, with only isolated showers and thunderstorm activity expected tomorrow afternoon.
