Flooding in Bog Walk Gorge

Bog Walk Gorge, Barry impassable
ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The police are advising that the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine is currently impassable.
This is due to heavy rains that have caused the Rio Cobre to overflow its banks, covering the bridge with water, the lawmen said in an advisory.
Meanwhile, the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) said Barry, which is usually used as an alternate route, is also impassable.
As such, motorists are being advised to use routes through Sligoville or the North-South leg of Highway 2000 in the parish.
