SRHA hosts forum on children living with Type 1 Diabetes

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Southern Regional Health Authority (SRHA) says it will be hosting a forum tomorrow in Manchester to heighten awareness of the holistic management of children living with Type 1 Diabetes.

The forum, which will be held under the theme, ‘Children and Diabetes: A Holistic Approach’ will also seek to establish and strengthen support systems for these children.

The SRHA, in an advisory today, said that some 50 children living with diabetes and their parents/guardians, school nurses and guidance counselors, will participate in the forum to be held at the Northern Parking Lot, Mandeville Regional Hospital, 32 Hargreaves Avenue, Mandeville.

The forum is slated to begin at 10:00 am.
