Dizzle flows with Hope River
Producer/studio engineer Dale “Dizzle” Virgo is confident that the tracks he produced on Agent Sasco’s Hope River will strike a chord with fans worldwide.
“I have known Sasco for years and worked on a few projects with him for other producers, but didn’t get to really collaborate with him on a full music production level. When he decided to build his studio, I saw it as an opportunity to lend my production skills to this project which is poised to be a game-changer and a monumental project,” said Virgo.
Hope River was released in August on Sasco’s Diamond Studio label. Dizzle holds both engineering as well as co-production credits for Legacy and So Blessed, and full production credits on the single Change.
Dizzle believes the sound of these tracks will be what stands out to fans.
“With the tracks on the Hope River project, I consider them fusion reggae, dancehall and hip hop, mixing specific Jamaican musical flavours with international sounds. Each track pulls from different genres of music to create an eclectic sound,” said Virgo.
Dizzle, based in Portland out of the popular Geejam studios, has been cultivating beats for over 14 years. Through the years he has worked with a plethora of local and overseas acts including Ce’Cile, Gyptian, Chronixx, Christopher Martin, Kim Nain, Rihanna, Drake, Sean Kingston, and Florence and the Machine.
Dizzle also has high commendation for Agent Sasco stepping out of the box for this new project.
“It was great working with Sasco, It felt great that he was musically open-minded with us going to the next level productions wise rather than sticking to the norm. Already fans appreciate the newness, edgy and fresh sound of the tracks,” Virgo added.
