Croatia seek forward thrust against England

Croatia seek forward thrust against England

…quoted by JustBet as $2.60 favourites to beat England

TODAY and tomorrow (October 12 and 13) the UEFA Nations League takes centre stage as we head into another two weeks international break.

Some of Europe’s top footballing nations go head to head as they battle for Euro qualification. JustBet previews two massive games for you. First up today, World Cup finalists Croatia battle the fast-rising England team, then tomorrow, the rebuilding Dutch team face a wounded Germany looking to restore lost pride after their World Cup flop.

The golden generation in the history of Croatian football had an impressive World Cup in Russia, led by super star Luka Modric, they had a stunning run to the finals where they met an unfortunate end, as France were just too hot for them to handle. Post-World Cup hasn’t been kind to Croatia as they were hammered 6-0 in their first ever Nations League match against Spain. Now they hope to right the wrong against a young England.

Meanwhile, England also had a loss at the hands of the Spaniards. They lost their 14 home games unbeaten streak as they were beaten 1-2 in their Nations League opener. Both these sides last met at the World Cup semi-final from which Croatia came out victorious. England, however led the overall head to head meetings between both teams with four wins from their seven games played. A victory is required for both teams to progress into the final round of the league, and this could see some exciting football if both sides decide to attack. Croatia have scored in each of their last 20 home games dating back to 2013 and we expect them to continue that trend on Friday.

The betting tip? Croatia win & Over 2.5 goals in the game.

The JustBetOdds on the match are published to the right of this page :

Now we turn our attention to Holland, where one of, if not the biggest rivalry in European football reignites in Amsterdam when Netherland faces with both of the protagonists having so much to prove.

History certainly suggests a close match is on the cards, as both teams have won 15 of their previous 40 head-to-head games and 10 ending all-square. Germany are the stronger team right now, but the Amsterdam Arena will be buzzing and that should motivate the home team to give a good account of themselves.

After failing to qualify for the last two major tournaments, Ronald Koeman has made an encouraging start in his bid to re-establish Holland as a significant force in world football again. After losing to England last March, Holland went on a four-match unbeaten run in friendlies, beating Portugal and Peru and drawing with Italy and Slovakia.

Germany suffered a rare chastening experience at Russia 2018 when they crashed out at the first hurdle, but have somewhat restored some lost pride with a credible draw against World Champions France where they were the better team and should have won that game. They are now unbeaten in their last five games against Holland; however, with an improved Dutch team at home, we expect a close game with the home team just edging it for the win.

Football fans you will be treated to some exhilarating matches this weekend, so grab a Beer and kick it with us and enjoy the game with Justbet and win with us!!!!!
