Grange lauds Sunshine Girls’ clean sweep series win
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Minister of Culture, Gender, Entertainment and Sport Olivia Grange says “it is nothing short of an excellent performance when the Sunshine Girls can make it a clean sweep in back-to-back netball series.”
Grange was commenting on the Sunshine Girls’ winning the just-concluded series against both England and Trinidad and Tobago without losing a match.
“This performance certainly will boost the confidence of the Sunshine Girls going into the Fast Five Tournament in Australia later this month and the Netball World Cup next year and we look forward to the winner’s trophy from one of if not the two tournaments,” said Grange.
The sport minister added that the coach and support staff of the team should also be commended for their role in “this fine showing by the Sunshine Girls.”
