Island Child Style, the Caribbean’s premiere kiddies fashion show and the brainchild of “b3 boss” and parenting lifestyle consultant Michelle Gordon, made its debut in 2016.

It returns on Saturday, November 24 and will be staged at the Jamaica Pegasus hotel. To kick-start the event, Gordon and her team hosted a media launch at the hotel on Tuesday. Specially invited guests got a preview of a few of the designs and the next-gen models who’ll be hitting the runway. Designers slated to show include LA-based designer Harald Husum and top-billed Caribbean designers Lisa McIntosh-Aris, Shenna Carby, Mark Anthony Designs, Pebbles King, young designer Blessed (son of local designer Mamayashi), Kaysian Bourke, Zaid Smith, Ann-Marie Robinson-Chin, Ayanna Dixon, Cheryl Robinson, Mahambeth Lawrence, Donna Buchannan, Alveta Knight, Jazeene Henney, and Romi Toyloy.

In addition to the 82 child models walking for these designers, over 15 tweens will be introduced to professions of the trade by shadowing members of the production and execution teams. These will include make-up artistry, stage production, sound and lighting, styling, fashion designing, and of course, modelling.

Speaking of which, Island Child Style has partnered with Saint International model-maker Deiwght Peters and Point Global Agency for the provision of model talent ranging from four to 16 years old. Friday Social picks up where Page 2 left off.
