Tesha Miller slapped with murder charge
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Reputed leader of the Klansman Gang, Tesha Miller, was this evening slapped with a murder charge by the Counter-Terrorism and Organised Crime Investigations Branch (CTOC).
A police source confirmed that the charge is in relation to a 2008 murder.
Miller was also charged with accessory before and after the fact in relation to the 2008 murder.
Miller, as well as his girlfriend, was arrested on Monday at a shopping centre in Barbican, St Andrew.
However, following a habeas corpus application filed by one of his attorneys, Parish Judge Vaughn Smith issued an order yesterday that Miller be charged or released by Friday.
Habeas corpus is a writ requiring a person under arrest to be brought before a judge or into court, especially to secure the person’s release unless lawful grounds are shown for their detention.
